Child injured during drive-by shooting in Overland Park
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - An overnight drive-by shooting in an Overland Park neighborhood left one child hospitalized.
Police responded to a home near 100th and Kessler streets around 12:05 a.m. Tuesday and found an 8-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound.
The boy is in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
Police say there were other family members inside the house at the time, including other kids, but no one else was hurt.
Police say a dark colored four-door sedan was seen leaving the area.
A neighbor told 41 Action News he heard six gunshots.
Police say they have an idea of who the shooter is, but an arrest has not been made.
