KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A suspect is recovering from non-life threatening injuries following an officer-involved shooting in KCK.
At about 9:30 Saturday night, police on patrol in the 1400 block of Kansas Avenue spotted a suspect who was wanted in connection to a recent homicide. Officers chased the man to the 100 block of James Street where the suspect crashed into a fence.
Officers say the suspect got out of the car with a handgun. That is when officers shot at the suspect.
Police did not identify the suspect, but did say he is a white male in his 30s.
