Man dead in officer-involved shooting in Dekalb County, Missouri

Police: Man waved gun, pointed it at officers

Dekalb County, Mo. - A man was shot and killed Sunday morning by Dekalb County Sheriff's deputies during a domestic disturbance.

The Dekalb County Sheriff's Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a domestic distubrance Sunday at U.S. Highway 36 and Thorton Road.

Deputies say the man, described only as a white male, was ordered to drop the weapon.

However, he refused and pointed the weapon at investigators. That's when officers opened fire on the man. 

The identity of the suspect has not been released yet.
