KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man was in surgery Saturday morning for gunshot wounds he received in an overnight shooting near the intersection of 25th and Campbell streets.
Kansas City, Mo., Police Detective Jennifer Weyrauch said it appears a man was shot twice in the back shortly after 4 a.m., while sitting in the driver's seat of a car near 25th and Campbell.
The as-yet unidentified man drove himself to the Hallmark Cards office complex in Crown Center, a few blocks west of the shooting scene, where security guards found him and called for an ambulance. He was transported to Truman Medical Center, where he was in surgery Saturday morning.
Police have not been able to interview him to learn more about the circumstances of the shooting.
