Man robs Northland bank and may have been in a hit and run accident after the robbery

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man took money from a KC North bank Friday morning and may have been in a hit and run crash after the robbery, according to the FBI.

An FBI news release states the crime happened about 11:30 a.m. at the Bank of the West branch at 5245 NW 64th Street.

The man handed a bank teller a note and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash.  He did not show a weapon and no one was injured, according to the release.

The man left in a green or teal 4-door Ford Taurus.  He may have hit a car as he drove south from the bank, according to the news release.

Witnesses described the robber as a white man in his late 30s or early 40s,

He is about 6 feet tall, weighs about 220 pounds and has short brown or blonde hair, according to the news release.  He wore blue jeans, a long-sleeve blue, green and white plaid shirt.
