Suspect killed his brother

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The body found Thursday in a wooded area of Kansas City, Mo., was the suspect in a fatal shooting in Mission, Kan., earlier Thursday. The suspect and victim were brothers.

Robert J. Pruitt was suspected of killing his brother Todd in a parking lot of an office building in Mission on Thursday.

Police searched near 107th and Blue River Road for Robert and found his body. He died of a suspected suicide. It is not immediately clear what brought investigators to the area.

Robert Pruitt was wanted in connection to a shooting this morning in an office building parking lot in the 5700 block of Broadmoor in Mission. Witnesses said Robert, 58, of Merriam killed his 51-year-old brother Todd as he got out of his vehicle.
