KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The mother of two children who almost drowned this week has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
The Wyandotte County district attorney announced the charges against 23-year-old Johnna Green on Thursday.
Green's two daughters, ages 1 and 4, were rushed to the hospital Tuesday after they were both found unconscious in a home in Kansas City, Kan. They are still in critical condition.
Green allegedly "held J.T. underwater until she was unresponsive," then did the same to J.G., according to court documents.
