New child porn charges against Lee's Summit soccer coach

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Lee's Summit youth soccer coach accused of secretly recording several minors while nude faces three new child pornography charges.

Joel White, 41, was charged with three counts of attempted production of child porn on Tuesday. According to the indictment, he tried to use three underage girls "to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct."

White, who coaches a girls under-12 soccer team and a girls under-15 soccer team through the Lee's Summit Soccer Association, was first charged with one count of attempted production of child pornography on April 23. 

He faces between 15 and 30 years in prison for each of the four counts.

According to police, White secretly recorded several 12- and 13-year-old girls while they were undressing in his home in the 1700 block of SE 7th Terrace in Lee's Summit. He also allegedly admitted to inappropriately touching an 11- or 12-year-old girl while she was asleep at his house

A neighbor told 41 Action News that White hosted pool parties for young girls at his home last year, some going as late as 3 a.m.

White also ran a DJ and photography business that primarily dealt with kids.
