OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Overland Park police are asking for the public's help to locate a man they say stole at least a half dozen packages from Johnson County doorsteps this month.
On Monday police released photos of Phillip Esquire Miller IV, a 29-year old from Kansas City who they believe is responsible for the crimes.
In 2010, Miller was charged with attempted murder in San Diego, California. Police there say he put a gun to the head of a man he robbed of several pounds of marijuana- a "third strike" offense that could lead to a life sentence if convicted.
Out on bond, Miller was believed to be living in Kansas City when the thefts were committed.
Overland Park police say Miller could be armed and is certainly dangerous, and have asked anyone for information on his whereabouts to call them or the TIPS hotline, but not to approach or confront him.
