A 14-year-old girl has been shot in the leg at 4446 Myrtle Street in Kansas City, Missouri.
Police received reports of the shooting just before 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Authorities say an unknown suspect was outside the home and shot the girl through a bedroom window. The child is in serious but stable condition.
41 Action News spoke with the victim's 16-year-old older sister and she says that five shots were fired into the home.
Her 14-year-old sister, two older brothers in their 20s, mother and grandmother were in the home at the time of the shooting.
The grandmother was in the same room with the 14-year-old girl when she was shot.
