Police seek public's help to identify decomposed body found in vacant KCK lot

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Authorities are searching for answers after a decomposed body was found in Kansas City, Kan., Tuesday morning.

Police said the body was found wrapped in carpet in a vacant lot near 2nd Street and Quindaro around 9 a.m.

Due to the condition of the body, police are asking for the public's help trying to identify him.

They released the following details:

-White Male
-Older than 40
-Possible facial hair
-Full dentures
-Surgical plate in his right ankle
-Signs of Previous umbilical hernia surgery
-Possibly served in the Military
-Missing for several months
