SHAWNEE, Kan. - Police are looking for the woman who held up two Johnson County clothing stores within hours of each other.
The first happened at the Maurice's off Shawnee Mission Parkway in Shawnee.
Around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, she allegedly took several articles of clothing to the register, and then gave the clerk a note demanding money and stated no one would get killed if the clerk cooperated.
The woman left the store with an unknown amount of money and the clothing she was carrying, according to police.
Less than two hours later, police said she did the same thing at the Marshall's off Antioch Road in Merriam.
Police describe the alleged thief as a white female around 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with brown hair. She was wearing black pants, a Chiefs' jacket and flip flops.
Merriam Police told 41 Action News they are working with Shawnee on the case and that it appears it is the same woman.
She was seen getting into a white Chevrolet Cavalier with a black bumper.
