A man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Lee's Summit.

Prosecutors charged Terrell A. Ingram, 20, of Kansas City, Missouri, with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the July 16 shooting death of Malik Barbour.

Lee's Summit officers told investigators they were on a separate call the night of the murder when they heard at least nine gunshots, according to court documents.

Officers found Barbour dead a few minutes later on the sidewalk outside a house in the 1500 block of SE Long Place.

Gunshots hit Barbour in the face, abdomen and leg, according to court documents.

A witness told police officers they saw Barbour and Ingram in an argument just before the shooting.

Ingram got out of the car and shot Barbour several times, according to court documents. Barbour tried to run, but fell and Ingram allegedly shot him two more times.

Police later searched Ingram's house in Kansas City.

They found clothes Ingram is believed to have worn the night of the killing, along with an empty ammunition box and a stolen gun.

Prosecutors have requested a bond of $250,000.
