Reward offered for man who fled courthouse with baby

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Wyandotte County Sheriff's Department is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Robert Ingram.

Ingram, 23, facing jail time fled the courthouse last Friday, March 2, with a 7-month-old baby in his arms.

The car was found near the courthouse with the toddler inside, and returned to her mother before 5 p.m. March 2, but Ingram remains on the loose.

The judge said Ingram had not been complying with the terms of his probation, and learned he would be heading back to jail.

The judge told him to call someone to pick up the baby, when Ingram acted as if he was making a phone call when he ran from the courtroom.

He jumped into a waiting silver Pontiac Grand Am that had the passenger door open.

The car belongs to Ingram's mother, but she was not driving the car.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Robert Ingram, call the Tips hotline, you may be eligible for a reward.
