Teacher's assistant is on adminstrative leave

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - An investigation is underway after a sexual misconduct report was made by an 11-year-old student at a Kansas City Catholic school.

The girl told authorities that a teacher’s assistant at St. Thomas More School, 11800 Holmes Rd., made inappropriate advances toward her on multiple occasions, dating as far back as December.

School officials were notified of the incident on March 6. A letter to parents was sent home March 13 notifying them of the alleged incident.

The school has placed the teacher’s assistant on administrative leave pending the investigation. No charges have been filed.
