KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two people who provided information leading to the arrest of the suspected highway shooter have received a reward for their actions.
The Kansas City Police Department announced Tuesday that the two individuals will split the $8,000 reward offered by the FBI.
Authorities said the two called police and gave crucial information that led to the arrest of Mohammed P. Whitaker.
Whitaker is charged with 18 felony counts spanning nine separate highway shooting incidents that occurred on metro highways in March and April.
