Woman in custody for allegedly stabbing man outside Royal Liquors, stun gun used by officers

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police officers used a stun gun to subdue a stabbing suspect when the woman would not comply. 

Officers responded to a cutting call at 5:03 p.m. A female and male got into a verbal altercation that then became physical. 

Another female intervened and began to fight with the man. During the fight, the man sustained a cut to his neck from a glass bottle. 

The man was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition. 

KCPD said the stabbing suspect brandished a weapon in one hand and a wine bottle in the other. When she refused to comply with officers, they used a stun gun. 

Both women received medical attention at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation.
