Local school district in the line of totality plans special lesson for solar eclipse

The Park Hill School District has big plans for the Solar Eclipse.

The staff is preparing got a once in a lifetime teaching experience.

Every school in the district will be in the path of totality, so each school is taking advantage of it.

The football field at Park Hill High School will be covered with hundreds of students from the high school and Congress Middle School.

The district is giving every student eclipse viewing glasses to watch the event.

Many teachers are creating special lessons around the event.

"We want every single one of our students to have the opportunity to make this a learning experience," said Tara Bell, the Science Facilitator at Park Hill's Lead Innovation Studio.  "We really want to create many lesson around this, we want them to have the knowledge and why this is important and why this is an amazing thing, and that most likely they may not experience another one of these within there lifetime.
