Local schools rank among most affordable

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - You could save big bucks when it comes to choosing a college. Local schools are ranked among some of the most affordable in the nation, according to Time magazine.

It looked at 665 private colleges on their Best Colleges list.  Among those, they compiled a list of 25 of the most affordable.

College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo., came in third. The average cost of a degree there is about $72,000.

Rockhurst University in Kansas City took the eighth spot. It has an average degree cost of about $96,000.

Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., is No. 11. Average degree costs are $106,000.

And finally, William Jewell College in Liberty ranks at No. 16. The price of a degree there is $115,000

The least affordable college is Art Centere College of Design in Pasadena, California. It'll cost you more than $280,000 to get a degree there.
