Public computer centers open at MCC

KANSAS CITY -
A statewide program is connecting people with computers.

Six public computer centers are now open at the campuses of Metropolitan Community College.
MCC is a partner in the Missouri MoBroadbandNow initative, designed to provide access to computers and high-speed internet to people who don't have a computer at home.

The computer centers are located on each of MCC's five campuses: Blue River in Independence;
Business & Technology in Kansas City; Longview in Lee's Summit; Maple Woods in Kansas City North; Penn Valley in Kansas City; and at the college's Pioneer location, east of the 18th & Vine district.

Users are required to register during their first visit to a Public Computer Center, but there is no fee to use the computers.
