LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. – Like to walk the dog in the cool morning hours?

How about taking your downward dog out for an early trip? Or maybe your cat pose or pigeon pose.

How about saying “Namaste” to the sun with a half-moon?

That’s what they have been doing with Sunrise Yoga at Legacy Park Amphitheater in Lee's Summit.

Lee's Summit Rec Supervisor Jenny Brennan said this spot, with the sun rising to one side and a lake to the other, is a place to find peace and contemplation (along with flexibility, strength and overall fitness).

At $5 a person, it’s a bargain, too.

They have men and women of every age, and every ability level from beginner on up, taking part.

In addition to the summertime Sunrise Yoga, they also offer Moonlight Yoga.

So, whether you’re a day person or night person, they have you covered.

In the past, 41 Action News has done a number of exercise related segments called “Motivation Monday.”

So, just consider this “Meditation Midweek!”
