BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - If you need medical care, but can't get in to your doctor or don't want to go to the emergency room, there is a new place in eastern Jackson County to get help. Centerpoint Medical Center opened a new urgent-care clinic Jan. 27 in Blue Springs, Mo. It's on Missouri Highway 7, just north of R.D. Mize Road.
You do not need an appointment.
The clinic accepts patients with non-life-threatening injuries.
CEO Carolyn Caldwell said the clinic has been busy since opening.
"We saw 24 patients yesterday," Caldwell said on Thursday. "We're averaging about 18 to 20 patients on the weekend, which, to me, says there definitely was a need."
The clinic is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekends. It accepts all major insurance plans. For more information, call (816) 229-8187.
