Starting a healthy diet from an early age has been proven to provide life-long benefits for growing children, and experts say that it is possible to get your kids to enjoy dinnertime.
A good way to balance what a kid likes with what a parent wants them to like is simply to compromise, say many experts.
"Kids love to dip things, so even if it's eating a raw vegetable dipped in something, it's a good way to get them to eat it, and that's absolutely okay," said Wendy Palmer, a Registered Dietitian for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Also, Palmer recommends trying to blend healthier foods into some of their favorites, ultimately creating a better diet for your child.
