Louise Dickey was cut and stabbed. She was found in her home on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the 10400 block of East 27th Street, Independence, Missouri.
According to court documents, Independence police responded to Dickey’s home. Dickey was discovered by concerned neighbors. They had noticed her vehicle was missing from her driveway.
Cory L. King is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in Dickey’s death.
According to a probable cause statement, King told police he killed Dickey while he was at her residence while he was under the influence of drugs. He said he and Dickey got into an argument and then he cut and stabbed her.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $500,000 cash.
