A part of a stage backdrop collapsed during a Planet Comicon panel but the host managed to recover flawlessly.
The panel was hosted by John Barrowman, known for his roles on "Arrow", "Torchwood", and "Doctor Who". After the backdrop fell inward, he cracked a few jokes and continued with the panel as planned.

A Planet Comicon spokesperson said one person injured their hand while trying to catch a part of the backdrop as it fell. No one else was hurt.
Planet Comicon sent the following statement to 41 Action News:
Planet Comicon Kansas City is in touch with the individual who was medically transported during our afternoon panel. The safety of our guests is our number one priority and we are working with the facility to ensure that all equipment is properly and safely secured. We appreciate our guests' willingness to showcase their human super powers on a daily basis and spring into action to help their fellow Planet Comicon attendee.
