Summer Beer Festival

The second annual Summer Beer Festival, presented by Sporting KC, hits Westport Saturday from 5-9 p.m. More than 70 beers from 30 breweries will be available for sampling in front of McCoy's on Pennsylvania, including local favorites and international brews. Attendees will also receive a commemorative tasting glass. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Oak Grove Missouri Rodeo - MRCA/URA

Grab your muttonchops and head out to the rodeo! Performances begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Frick Part at 12th and Oak in Oak Grove.

Jazz in the Woods

This annual music festival at Corporate Woods, sponsored by the Overland Park South Rotary Club, raises money for local children's charities. Greg Adams and East Bay Soul headline Friday and Peter White headlines Saturday.

Kansas City Summer BBQ Festival

Enjoy Kansas City's favorite food at Alexander Major's historical house and museum. Live music, cooking demonstrations and face painting make this an event the entire family can enjoy. Tickets are $40 and kids 12 and younger are free.
