A massive manhunt continues  for the man accused of taking a 1-month-old baby, triggering an AMBER Alert.

Police agencies are looking for 33-year-old Robert Foreman.

Sarah Edwards spent much of her day reflecting how she raised Foreman, her grandson.

“He never did talk back to me or nothing, he did what I asked him to do,” Edwards said.

But as Foreman got older, his journey got rough. Foreman has been in and out of prison, his mother died two years ago and his cousin was recently killed, according to Edwards.

“I would talk to him and tell him life can be better. He’s like, ‘But I don’t know how I mess up things,” she said.

On Sunday, Foreman got into an argument at his uncle’s Kansas City house on 23rd and Mersington. In the exchange, police say Foreman took his newborn daughter, Amilyah, and threatened to hurt her and her mother.

Considered armed and dangerous, an AMBER Alert was issued.

“When I seen his picture on the TV, it kind of threw me,” Edwards said.

Foreman stopped by his grandmother's home just a few days ago. As any dad would, he proudly showed off Amilyah.

“He would sit and just stare at her and I think that’s mostly the reason why took her because he was really attached to her,” Edwards said.

Foreman turned in the baby to a relative on the 8400 block of Isabel in Kansas City, Kansas, early Tuesday morning, but not after some convincing.

“They talked to him and told him to bring the baby back, that he was all over the news, he evidently didn’t know that he was over the news,” Edwards said.

As Foreman is still running away from police, his grandmother wants him to know one thing.

“Give yourself up and asked them to help you. That’s what you need, you need some help and you won’t get it out there on the streets,” Edwards said.

Foreman is described a 5’9” tall, 160 pounds, with brown eyes, between skinny and medium build, black hair with two thick braids. He has neck tattoos and is known to commonly wear a black zip-up hoodie-like jacket, a black baseball hat or beanie, acid wash jeans or khaki pants and tan boots. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Police said Foreman could be driving a 2002 dark purple Yukon Denali with chrome “buttercup” rims.
