KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Four old cars have been given new life thanks to some local teens. Now, those teens hope to spread what they learned.
The students are part of an after school program called MindDrive.
They took four old Karmann Ghias and gave them an overhaul.
“They were pretty much rust buckets,” Linda Buchner said. “They’ve completely restored them, they’ve done all the body work, they’ve replaced all the parts and they’ve converted them from gas power to electric.”
Now, they will take the cars to California and share their stories with environmentalists and technology companies.
