Two suspects are in custody on Friday after an armed robbery and shooting at the Walgreens parking lot at 23rd Street and Sterling Avenue in Independence, Missouri.
Police responded to the call just before 12 a.m. Upon arrival, a male victim was transported to the hospital where he later died.
Officers were able to track the suspects to the 1700 block of Sterling Avenue and took one suspect into custody without incident.
A second suspect wouldn’t come out and tactical units were deployed. Just before 3:30 a.m., the second suspect was taken into custody.
