KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Authorities are expected to release new information on Friday regarding the recent highway shootings throughout the Kansas City metro.
On Thursday, Kansas City Police took a suspect into custody . The male suspect was brought into police headquarters in downtown Kansas City. The suspect's name won't be released until charges have been filed.
Three people have been injured after being struck by gunfire, police said, and there have been a total of 13 shootings since early March.
Chief Forte said in a brief statement Thursday night that the investigation is ongoing and thanked local law enforcement for their help.
Police are expected to hold a news conference sometime on Friday. A time has not been decided.
