Barstow students earn youth service award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A big congratulations to several Barstow High School students.

On Friday, they were awarded the Congressional Gold Award for completing 400 hours of community service, 200 hours of physical fitness and 200 hours of personal development.

Jonah Elyachar, 17, is one of the recipients.

"It made me see how much I could do in such a short period of time and how it can affect other people and how I can see and change things myself," he said.

This is the highest award for youth service.
