KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Mission accomplished for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Kansas City as the organization celebrated the end of Mission 350.
Last summer, they have more than 550 children on the waiting list for a big brother or big sister. Now, they have paired 350 of them.
“It’s very important to put another positive adult in our littles’ lives, somebody that they know cares about them, wants to help them succeed and can maybe help them experience new things and have higher aspirations for life,” Scott Cruce with BBBS said.
Organizers said they still have a lot of work to do as more children have joined the club. The waiting list currently holds around 350 children.
