KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A couple of teens came across a disturbing discovery in a wooded area of the Northland. The bodies of at least six dogs were scattered near a dead end street.
The road runs parallel with I-35 just past Vivion Road.
The teens notified Kansas City Animal Control and neighbors said they came by to investigate.
Many of the dogs were wrapped in plastic bags and laid among garbage, broken glass and tires.
The teens said they’ve seen groups of people with their cars in the open area before.
The street slumps down so the area isn’t visible from the highway.
A rescue group said Animal Control was expected to pick up the bodies and they will be evaluated by a vet.
