Body found in burning car in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. - The Johnson County Sheriff's Department is investigating a body found burning in a car early Sunday morning.

Four fire companies responded to a call of a brush fire near 183rd St. & Clare Rd. just after 5:30 a.m. Once on scene, they found a car was burning in a field.

Fire fighters discovered the body about a half an hour later and called the sheriff's department.

A crime scene is set up. The sheriff's department says they are investigating all possibilities.
