GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. - Grain Valley Police say the body of a missing Oak Grove woman was found Saturday afternoon near a Grain Valley industrial park.
A man walking his dog found a female body and called police around 4:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they tentatively identified the body as 28-year-old Amber Jo Bradley-Couch. She was last seen leaving Whiskey Tango Bar on January 19th.
Angela Trent is Amber Jo's sister. She lives in Nebraska; a police officer knocked on her door Saturday night and informed her that her sister's body has been found. Trent says she had already feared the worst, but it was still difficult news to hear.
"Part of me was expecting it because she's been gone for almost two months, but the other half was still hoping she was still alive. I literally started screaming and collapsed on the floor," Trent shared during a Skype interview on Sunday.
Police are awaiting autopsy results to determine if foul play was involved in Bradley-Couch's death.
Trent says Amber Jo was a loving mother to her 4-year-old daughter. She believes something or someone stopped her from going home.
