KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The autopsy for a body found in a Kansas City, Kansas garage delayed because the body was still "thawing out."
The coroner's office plans to perform the autopsy Tuesday on the body found in a garage Sunday afternoon. A police truck drove away with what looked like a freezer covered in tarp taken from the detached building.
A KCK officer said the body was intact. The owner of the home said the family rented the home out for several years. She said she was shocked when she found out police were there investigating a found body.
Donnie Young lives a couple doors down and hopes for answers soon for himself and his neighbors.
"The people that own the house are good people. I know them, I grew up with them. I'm sure they got the wool pulled over their eyes to rent the house to someone like that if that was the case," said Young.
It's still not clear how long the body was in the garage.
