Homicide detectives investigate burned body found in KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A burned body was found early Monday evening near 19th and Brooklyn in Kansas City, Mo.

Police say someone flagged them down around 6:30 p.m. to tell them something was on fire. That's when officers discovered a burned body in the loading dock area of Faultless Linens Services.

41 Action news spoke to the wife of the employee who closed down the business at 6 p.m. - she said he didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

Homicide detectives are investigating. The victim has been described as a black female between 5-feet-2 inches and 5-feet-6 inches with a small build and short hair dyed red.
