KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A car barreling into a home narrowly missed two occupants inside and a driver that didn't stay to clean up the mess.
Kansas City, Mo., police and fire crews were sent out to 99th and Blue Ridge Boulevard just after 7 p.m. Friday after someone reportedly slammed into a nearby home.
Police officers arrived first on the scene to the carnage and quickly ordered paramedics for two people inside the residence.
Thankfully, the two people escaped injury, but the house suffered a worse fate. Fire crews called for investigators from the city's dangerous buildings department to come out to the house to assess its structural integrity.
It's not known if the family will be able to stay inside the home.
The driver of the car that barreled into the house fled the scene. Police scoured the nearby neighborhood for the driver.
