KANSAS CITY, MO. - A former quarterback for the Missouri Tigers, he says coming back to Kansas City was an easy move.
Chase Daniel is a quiet, simple guy who likes routine.
A typical breakfast for him consists of three boiled eggs, oatmeal with strawberries on top, and two pieces of bacon. He doesn't deviate much from that.
The last movie he saw was with his girlfriend. They watched "The Purge."
He doesn't have much time to read for fun, but he is about halfway through "No Easy Day" about the capture of Osama Bin Laden. He's currently hovering in chapter 11.
He runs a clothing business on the side – 10Star Apparel in Dallas. He spends a lot of his off-season time running that company.
During the season, his days are packed. He's at the practice facility by 6 in the morning, watches an hour of film, lifts for 30 minutes, and eats breakfast – all by 8 a.m. Next, he's in meeting after meeting until around 11 a.m. At that point, he and other teammates walk thru the plays. They break for lunch, then study script for practice, and then have practice, then more meetings. He studies more at the end of his day. That's a normal day.
If Chase wasn't playing football, he imagines he might work for ESPN in broadcasting or College Game Day. He loves the college environment.
When he was a kid, though, Chase wanted to be a firefighter, or a cop.
