A Chillicothe, Mo., man who learned he will not face murder charges for a third time is now suing several people.
A jury convicted Mark Woodworth twice for allegedly killing Cathy Robertson and shooting her husband in 1990.
Appeals judges threw out both of those verdicts.
Last month, a special prosecutor dropped all charges.
The suit names the justice system in Livingston County, other law enforcement officials and even members of the Robertson family as defendants.
The official complaint states and accuses them of, "conducting a sham investigation, fabricating false evidence, suppressing exculpatory evidence and concealing their conspiratorial acts."
