LENEXA, Kan. — Two new projects will soon be underway in Lenexa, Kansas.
The developments are planned at the southeast corner of 87th Street Parkway and Renner Boulevard.
The first, called "The Yard," is a mixed-use L-shaped building with office space, two restaurants and outdoor entertainment. The patio will have leisure sports courts, a fire pit, couch seating, and a host station with restrooms.
"They’ll be pickle ball courts, shuffle board courts, outdoor lounge areas should be a very nice attraction for the community," said Beccy Yocham, Director of Community Development in Lenexa.
Another project to its south, called "The Lofts," will be another mixed-use project with office and retail space on the ground floor and four stories of apartments above.
"Really high-quality projects, some additional a little bit different element in terms of living opportunity for folks in Lenexa city center but in a smaller format and we are excited about that," said Yochum.
Groundbreaking on these projects is scheduled to take place next year.
