KANSAS CITY, Mo. - UPDATE, 5/14: The man's death has been ruled a homicide. Charges are expected to be filed soon.
Authorities have responded to a drowning in the 1000 block of Poplar Ave., in Kansas City, Mo. A body was found in a pool and homicide detectives are en route to investigate.
At about 10:30 a.m., officers were called to the scene and found a man, approximately 70 years old, dead in the pool, according to a news release. The man's wife told police she was out of town and came home to find her husband in the pool. According to KC police, the man was in the pool for a few days.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the man's exact cause of death.
