The suspects in an overnight strong-armed robbery downtown led police on a high speed chase that criss-crossed state lines, ending in a crash in Mission Hills and three arrests early Wednesday morning.

Police say the suspects robbed a person leaving a business near 12th and Main. The report said the victim had cash and business receipts.

Responding officers caught up to the suspects near 5th and Main in the River Market area, just north of the reported scene. The dark-colored SUV managed to evade police for around half an hour, traveling at least 10 miles through the south-central metro before crashing.

The SUV caused a crash near 19th and Grand on its way south toward Blue Parkway, winding through side streets and running red lights, police said.

The suspects eventually made their way south to around 63rd Street, and then headed west into Kansas. The driver crashed the vehicle near 63rd and Verona in Mission Hills.

Officers arrested two men and a woman at the crash scene. A police K9 officer bit one of the men, who crews then transported to the hospital for treatment.

There was no immediate information on suspect identity or possible charges.

We haven't received word on the condition of the robbery victim or those involved in the crash at 19th and Grand.
