KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The man responsible for killing a Kansas City mother while on her way to church will spend 15 years behind bars.
24-Year-old Johnathan Ross was sentenced on Thursday for involuntary manslaughter.
Back in June of 2011 he was driving more than 80 miles per hour when he hit and killed 65-year-old Gertrude Price near 12th and Hardesty.
Ross ran, but a neighbor eventually caught him.
Price's family says they're happy with the outcome.
