Extreme heat in Kansas City can be problematic for our cars

Before hitting the road during the summer months, it's a good idea to check the air pressure in your tires.

"Hot air expands, meaning our tires can actually be over-inflated," said Eric Sob Borisouth, a manager at Boulevard Tire & Service.

Other things to watch during the extreme hit is the liquids in your car as well as your battery. Doctors also remind us to keep water in our cars in the event of a breakdown.
