KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A Kansas City family is searching for a cell phone that contained irreplaceable pictures after it was lost at the Boulevard Drive-In Sunday morning.
Dalia Aguilar left her Galaxy phone in the bathroom of the drive-in.
When she returned, it was gone.
“My heart fell,” she said. “The first thing that came to me was my Stella."
The majority of the pictures and videos on her phone were of her 3-month-old granddaughter Stella who died just six weeks ago.
"I felt like I lost my Stella all over again,” she said.
Her daughter-in-law, Johnna Byrne, posted on several social media sites, asking anyone with information, or better yet, the cell phone, to contact them.
They said they aren’t interested in getting the phone back, only the pictures and videos.
“It is devastating because we’ve already lost the most important thing,” Byrne said. “So we want to hold on to anything we have of her, anything. I don't care if it's a blurry picture. I don’t care if it's a picture of her big toe. It doesn’t matter; I just want every piece of her that we have of her with us."
