Fire crews battle house fire in Northland

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Fire Department was called to a house fire in the Northland on Wednesday night.

The fire was reported at 405 N.W. Briarcliff Parkway about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire crews reported smoke and fire showing upon arrival.

Initial reports indicate the homeowners were not home at the time of the blaze. It appears that the fire started in the garage, which has mostly been destroyed.
