KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City police are looking into a reported stranger danger.
Just after 11 a.m. Thursday, 5-year old TaNiya was picking flowers at her house near 28th and Prospect when her grandfather saw a man in a gray car pull up and start talking to TaNiya.
The grandfather started running toward the car and yelling.
The driver took off and never touched TaNiya.
Her mom is proud because TaNiya never said a word to the stranger.
"Me and her dad have went over and told her if she does see strangers, don't talk, don't say nothing cause she's friendly, she's very friendly. She likes to talk, so I have to like break her from that thinking that everybody is your friend. Everybody is not your friend, everybody is not nice,” Tiffany Jefferson, TaNiya's mom, said.
TaNiya was scared but she's now fine and was outside playing with the family dog.
Police looked but did not find the driver of the gray car.
