Crews battle large grass fire in the Northland

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Crews are currently battling a 30-plus acre grass fire in the Northland.

The fire, located at 27000 NW M0 92 Highway, caused police to shut down part of the highway.

According to Kansas City Fire Department Chief Paul Berardi, the fire was about 150 acres, and now 90 percent of the fire has been contained.

Crews also responded to a grass fire at 118th and Corrington in Kansas City, Mo. The fire spread to a home in the area. No injuries were reported.
