KANSAS CITY, Mo. - First, there was silence. Then, the sound of a woman's screams snapped Paul Mongiello into action.
What followed was a series of heroic actions that helped two employees from JJ's Restaurant escape the fiery natural gas explosion on Feb. 19.
Now, Mongiello's story of courage will be told to a national audience.
A special report from the 41 Action News Investigators caught the eye of "Rock Center" producers.
Mongiello, investigator Ryan Kath and Doug Dodson, an employee inside the restaurant at the time of the explosion, will all be featured in a Friday segment about the massive JJ's explosion. It aired at 9 p.m. on your 41 Action News station.
